about the Program

The Obsidian Leaders Program has been designed to maximise development through a combination of structured learning and fostering relationships and community.

Year One of the Program commences with the completion of a Behavioural Profiling exercise and one-on-one debrief to review the results and commence your personal development plan.

This is followed by ten facilitated group workshops discussing the topics outlined here.

At the completion of the ten workshops a follow-up one-on-one session updates on the progress of your personal development plan.

Year Two of the Program continues with a further ten facilitated workshops delving further into critical areas of Executive Leadership as well as exploring increasingly complex topic areas.

Members are invited to continue into Years Three & Four where they will work together to solve the most critical issues they are facing in increasingly complex times.



At each stage of the program the structured learning will be complemented by formal and informal networking opportunities both within their own cohorts and with the broader Obsidian Leaders community.

All members will be invited to participate in a number of different networking events held througout the year in both Sydney and Melbourne. We also encourage informal communication and connection between workshops between members of a cohort to share learnings and support one another to problem solve current challenges.





The investment required to become an Obsidian Leader and complete Year One of the Program is $15,000 + GST. The full amount is payable prior to the first session commencing.





Michael Floyd is the Managing Director of Carrera and Co-Founder of Obsidian Leaders. He is a charismatic leader and business owner with a career history spanning 25+ years across both Consumer Goods sales leadership roles and talent management consulting. Michael held Sales Leadership and General Management roles at both National and International levels prior to launching Carrera in 2002. Over the past 19 years he has taken Carrera from sales and marketing recruitment leader to become a comprehensive people and performance consulting business that is continuing to innovate and drive outcomes for its clients.

Rob Manuel is General Manager of Carrera and Co-Founder of Obsidian Leaders. He is  a commercially astute people leader with over 20 years experience in senior Human Resource Management and General Management roles.  His expertise in leading Business Improvement and Transformation Programs in organisations operating in competitive manufacturing and fast-moving sales environments has required capability builds, employee engagement and a deep understanding of industrial relations and employment legislation.
